For the big carnival show in Gulpen, the ‘Groeëte Gulpener Vastelaoves Finale’, Hoedemakers.PRO was asked for technical support. They turned to Matrix Event Support, whose LD Fenno Franzen designed the light show using Showtec and Infinity fixtures to make a big impact on the partying crowd.
On 13 February 2024, the Frans Croonenbergplein in Gulpen, a village in the south of the Netherlands, was flooded by a colourful crowd of carnivalists for the ‘Groeëte Gulpener Vastelaoves Finale’ (Great Gulpen Carnival Finale). Commissioned by Hoedemakers.PRO and supporting many popular local artists who entertained the crowds, LD Fenno Franzen of Matrix Event Support designed and operated an impressive light show that made a big impact. The stage was decorated with 3 Showtec LED Octostrip Sets MKII for a total of 24 one-metre LED strips for creative lighting. With 43 Showtec Spectral M800 Q6 IP65 RGBW spots, 6 Showtec Stage Blinder 4 DMX blinders, 14 Showtec Helix S4000 Q4 and 4 Helix S5000 Q4 RGBW LED wash lights with 40 degree beam shapers, the stage was set to shine and wow the audience. All the fixtures were expertly controlled by Fenno, who chose the Infinity Chimp Tour Pack with Infinity Peanut Box for additional DMX universes.
