Tony Norrie - Founder
Decorative lighting Company was formed in October 2005. Tony Norrie who has over 25 years experience with decorative lighting applications for Christmas projects and commercial decor work saw a need to develop a compliant safe 240volt light system that was easy to install and maintain. So Deco light was conceived and manufactured through a reliable china factory.
All products are made to AS/NZ standards to cope with Australia/ New Zealand weather conditions mainly, high sunshine and torrent rain. It was important that minimum stress was placed on living trees requiring lighting, so a rubber sheathed cable is used and a technique of wrapping lights to main limps is encouraged by DLC. The end product is a great light system that shines brightly earlier and looks good at night, by enhancing tree and building & garden outlines.
The management at DLC have combined skills and experience that is bought to all aspect of the businesses. Considerable care and attention to living trees has been DLC focus and to this end the natural progression has been to an installation service offered in most main centres throughout Australasia. A Wrap tape and staple technique has been developed and ensures trees are not stressed with light loading and fastening. DLC practice safe site management procedure to ensure projects are run safely and smoothly. The end result is lighting excellence achieved every time, guaranteed.
In 2011 Decorative lighting New Zealand was sold to Tony McFall who has bought a much needed technical aspect to the business and better systemisation to the overall structure of the business. New product development includes LED wash lights for building, landscape & event Colour effects. Solar power LED for park and garden lighting. Battery and theming lights for wedding and every day occasions, events. General Christmas lights for indoor & outdoor use and a 24 volt fairy light system similar to our deco light 240 volt range.
